Dear Strong Women and Allies;

We are extending a heartfelt invitation to you to join us for a special event hosted by Nacoprw Northern Chapter in celebration of Women’s History Month.

On Saturday, March 22, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Nacoprw Northern will be holding a powerful and inspiring event entitled “HERstory” at LAMA, 3519 W Fullerton Ave, where we will honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of women who have overcome significant challenges in their lives. This event aims to bring our community together to share stories of perseverance, promote mental health awareness, and highlight resources that support those facing adversity.

Three remarkable women will be sharing their personal journeys with us:

Benita Santillanes endured and survived leg amputation after an encounter with a DUI driver and a mastectomy due to breast cancer.
Millie Burgos a warrior who helps parents cope with grief after the loss of a child to gun violence and how to be involved in prevention strategies.
Maritza Ocasio survivor of domestic violence who advocates for others in similar situations, her survival techniques and accomplishments.

In addition to these powerful and impactful stories, we will be discussing valuable resources for mental health coping strategies and offering a chance to connect with others while enjoying a catered $40 brunch and a raffle to support our scholarship program.
